The first part of the journey before the world wide sailing trip is to actually get to Oregon and begin work on the boat. The original plan was that Dovid was going to pick me up in Phoenix on his way back to Oregon, but I decided to fly to Louisiana and we would drive the whole way together. We made it to Oregon after a 3-day drive (we stopped nightly for sleep). Once in Astoria, we set to clean out the boat so that we could live in it while getting it ready for me to start my sailing lessons. We got it livable pretty quickly. I will most likely be doing my sailing lessons on a friend’s boat since there is still a lot of work that we have to coordinate with folk more experienced in boat refurbishing in order to get done. We will definitely keep you posted on our progress. In the mean time, check out all the new galleries added to our PHOTOS section! :-)
As always thanks so much for reading!
